Hot white lines and scorching sibling rivalry.
Two sisters on the road trip of a lifetime.
Regina is a talented photographer travelling the vast Australian continent taking pictures of an array of roadside shrines for an art exhibition. Her wayward and kooky sister Erica is along for the ride. Along the way they battle fatigue, drugs, trucks, danger, mystery, love and faith.
A magical piece of theatre filled with humour, heartbreak and joy, Cross is a gutsy, new Australian story from Tasmania’s Mudlark Theatre. Mixing beautiful story-telling, powerful performance and rich design, audiences join sisters, Reg and Erica, on the roadtrip of a lifetime.
“Launceston’s Mudlark Theatre displays bold design flair to stage its modern-day Via Crucis… arresting images and moments of lyricism illuminate and add to the meaning in this impressive new Tasmanian work.” - Ellie Court, The Mercury
“The integrity of the production as a whole was such that I spontaneously felt a powerful, emotional, and even physiological response… I immediately wished I could go back and experience it again… This is a production of consummate theatricality.”– Anica Boulanger-Mashberg, Write Response
“Funny, clever and moving… fast-paced, bright and bouncy and has a sting in its tail… love and humanity is the underlying message.”– Merlene Abbott, Stage Whispers
