Arthur Friedman might be dead, but that doesn’t mean he’s finished yet.
U L G is a celebration of life and family. Set on the day of Arthur Friedman’s memorial service, it follows the rest of the Friedmans as they prepare to say goodbye to the family patriarch for the final time. Tensions are high, and soon the secrets of the past begin to spill out into the open with devastating consequences. The Friedmans will never be the same. U L G explores ideas of life, death, education, and the lies we tell ourselves and each other just to stay sane. Arthur Friedman has kicked the bucket, now it’s up to the rest of his family to mop up the mess.
A site-specific work, presented a car park, synagogue and pub, audiences travelled across three locations to watch this lighthearted drama unfold.
